AXIAL FLOATS

After
assembling it is essential that shaft end floats be correctly set. The table on
next page showing axial floats for worm shaft and wheel shaft are recommended.
However it is better to maintain axial float at lower recommended value. They
should be checked preferably using a dial indicator gauge mounted on a magnetic
base.
